Network Engineer
Primary Location: Atlanta, Georgia

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Network Engineer for our premier client in Atlanta, Georgia .

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Technical Requirements and Certifications "

• A current minimum CCNP certification in routing and switching.

Education and Experience "

• Minimum 7 years Hands On experience with Cisco Routing and Switching Technologies in an enterprise level environment.
• Minimum 6 years experience working with Cisco Networking technologies in a large mission critical distributed enterprise environment.
• Minimum 3 Years Experience with Cisco Wireless controllers and access points. (Wireless Design experience a must and wireless surveying experience a plus).
• Experience with Infoblox.
• Experience supporting multisite network.
• Experience with network architecture and protocols.
• Experience working in a structured, process-driven environment.
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience with:

• Multi-vendor Internetworking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls).
• Network and architecture protocols (TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF).
• VPN technologies.
• Catalyst 9300 and 9500 series switches.
• Palo Alto Firewalls a plus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities "

• Troubleshooting in a layer 3 networked environment.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Results oriented and self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of IT projects.
• Familiar working with low voltage cabling and DC power.
• Knowledge of Active Directory concepts and administration, DNS and DHCP.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools including Visio.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical people with overall superior customer service skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Job Responsibilities:

• Install and configure Infoblox DDI.
• Design, set up, configure and troubleshoot Cisco network switches and other network components to support all aspects of the day to day operations.
• Documentation of Procedures / Networking environment (ensure that all network documentation is accurate and up to date).
• Submit Request for Change forms when needed. Participate in Change Advisory Board meetings as needed.
• Configure and troubleshoot Cisco wireless controllers and access points.
• Management of the IOS images and ensuring patches are tested and applied.
• Assist other team members in executing various project tasks.
• Work with hardware break/fix vendor as needed.
• Maintain excellent communication with all end users and other members of the technology department.
• Execute other assigned tasks as delegated by the Customer, Project Manager and Team Lead.
