Science and Technology Corporation (STC) is seeking a full time Sheet Metal Technician in the Manufacturing Applications Branch (MAB) at NASA Langley Research Center (LaRC). We are in search of a highly skilled and motivated individual to perform a role in sheet metal fabrication. This role is versatile, covering all facets of metals fabrication to include sheet metal and heavy metal fabrication, mechanical connections, and space flight assembly practices. If you enjoy manufacturing one-of-a-kind hardware, working to tight tolerances, strong focus on quality, extreme attention to detail, you are likely the candidate we are looking for.
Responsibilities:
Fabricator will support the daily operations of the Metals Applications Branch and other areas as required, will assure that all equipment is well maintained and in working order, stay abreast of new technologies in the field of metals fabrication and maintain a state-of-the-art capability. Candidate will have the opportunity to interface directly with engineers and researchers to better understand project deliverables. Candidate should be well organized to meet all work requirements and follow NASA procedures. All tools will be provided so no need to bring your own. You will work with support services such as machine shop, waterjet, weld shop, and composites group to ensure your success.
