Science Center of Iowa is Hiring a Part-time Custodian Near Des Moines, IA
Position Overview:
This position will perform custodial duties to assure the cleanliness and general maintenance of the Science Center of Iowa. Position also performs room setup and tear down as directed for varying events and uses for rentals, special events, meetings and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Vacuum and shampoo carpeted areas
- Clean and stock public restrooms
- Empty trash receptacles
- Wash windows and other glass surfaces
- Set up and tear down tables and chairs for meetings, classes and rentals
- Assist with movement of exhibits as needed
- Operate commercial floor maintenance machines
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 2 years custodial experience
- Experience with standard maintenance equipment
- Flexible, proactive and positive attitude
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to be flexible on working hours
- Background check will be performed
- References required
Work Hours:
Part Time, Includes weekends and evening hours.
Hours subject to change based on business needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
