Job Description The Proposal Pricing Analyst assists with estimating, pricing and coordinating proposals and other marketing materials to support the business efforts for the organization. Essential Functions:
Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) from government customers, develop requirements matrices, prepare proposal outlines, brainstorm themes, as well as review and critique proposals.
Assist in developing and preparing Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Cost-Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) proposals including specialized software, spreadsheets, basis of estimates, bills of materials, assumptions, and travel based on Government requirements in accordance with the Statement of Work
Support the entire proposal cycle from RFP, to negotiations, to contract award
Work closely with Capture and Upper-management to ensure adequate proposal inputs are derived
Provide pricing support to Contracts Department during negotiations to provide a counter offer to the Government, or updating our pricing to concur with the Government’s offer
Attend Proposal Receipt and Review Kickoff meetings to discuss the Statement of Work and determine a strategy to ensure a completed proposal package by the Government’s deadline
Conduct internal Preliminary Proposal Review meetings, as well as Executive Review Boards to ensure that the proposal was prepared in accordance with the company’s policy and to evaluate the proposal for accuracy and price reasonableness prior to submittal to the Government
Obtain Executive approval and submit the completed proposal package to Contracts to submit to the Government
Prepare pricing for Time and Material (T&M), Over and Above (O&A), and Rough Orders of Magnitude (ROM)
Develop budgets for proposed efforts upon contract award.
Detail-oriented and ability to work independently with little supervision.
Able to work well with others in an extremely high paced environment on multiple projects with short deadlines.
Desired ability to understand mechanical and electrical drawings and detailed OEM specifications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements • Education: High School or GED required. Bachelors in Business Administration or Finance preferred. • Experience: 1- 5 years general experience preferred; experience in defense industry and/or Government contracts preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word required. Costpoint and ProPricer experience preferred.
