Science and Engineering Services is Hiring a Facilities Technician Near Huntsville, AL
The Facilities Technician will perform a variety of facility maintenance or repair.
Essential Functions:
* Perform facility-wide maintenance/repair to include plumbing, basic structures, carpeting and walkways
* Construct, delivery and set up office furniture.
* Monitor janitorial services; may influence janitorial contract selection
* Provide preventative maintenance; addresses concerns and eliminate safety hazards proactively to ensure facility continually meets all standards
* Arranges general maintenance on all company fleet vehicles; arranges for pick-up of inoperable vehicles; purchases parts as needed; continually communicates vehicle conditions
* Coordinates shipping and receiving functions; prepares receiving reports; acts as receiving agent for incoming products
* Maintains records of all company-owned assets; affixes identification labels as requires; assists in annual inventory of government-owned equipment
* May act as a lead to couriers
* Performs other duties as assigned
* Education: High School Diploma or GED required
* Experience: One-year maintenances experience required; three years preferred
Construction and/or Carpentry experience preferred.
