At SANY, our faculty and students are supported by SANY IT systems to create an environment for the best aspects of public education. We’re seeking an experienced IT support person to join us on this journey. In this role, the support person will oversee IT systems and assets, assist with upgrades and fixes, and provide training and support as needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of computer hardware and software, network maintenance, and industry trends to provide best support possible to our faculty and students. Engaging with them throughout the school, the IT support person will have an immediate impact on the education of young scholars.
Objectives of this role
Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, applications, servers, Google Workspace, laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, software, and hardware
Handle business-critical IT tasks and system improvements
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and support workstation software, hardware, and printers.
Train faculty and staff in using software, hardware, and other instructional technologies, and provide technical support when needed
Required skills and qualifications
Two years of experience in IT
Ability to maintain confidentiality of staff and student information
Preferred skills and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science
Professional certification such as CompTIA A
