SCI Engineering is a multi-discipline firm offering a variety of services from the design development stage through construction. We specialize in Geotechnical, Environmental, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources and Construction Material Testing services.

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to fill our open position of Field Coordinator for our Construction Services department. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling our field and lab technicians for the Greater St. Louis Area. Someone in this position will need to have great organization skill as they will be dispatching 30 or more individuals every day. Well experienced in construction and/or material testing. Needs good computer and communication and organization skills, works well under pressure, and can stay focused on tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate the deployment of construction material testing technicians to field and lab sites based on project requirements, deadlines, and technician expertise.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule for testing activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to project timelines.
• Serve as the scheduling point of contact for project managers.
• Organize transportation and equipment logistics for technicians, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources for efficient testing operations.
• Oversee the collection and maintenance of accurate records and equipment calibration logs.
• Address and resolve any issues or challenges with equipment that may arise during testing activities, coordinating with both technicians and project managers as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or the equivalent
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• At least two years’ experience in the Construction Material Testing (CMT) field
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Ability to delegate tasks to technicians.
• Great communication and organization skills.
• Needs to have good computer skills.
• Certifications including OSHA 10, ACI Strength Testing Technician and MoDOT Concrete Strength preferred.
