Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienists to provide quality dental care to our patients. Your main responsibilities will include assisting with dental procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring infection control protocols are followed. Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area and sterilizing instruments - Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist - Prepare materials for impressions and restorations - Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and trimming custom trays - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic) - Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients and staff - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Experience: - Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required - Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments - Familiarity with medical documentation and record-keeping - Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems (e.g., Epic) - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
