Our portfolio includes a wide array of reputable brands like Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Hyatt as well as many unique, independent, boutique and lifestyle properties and restaurants.

Our Hotel: The Inn at Stonecliffe - the Jewel of Mackinac is a 52 room boutique property on Mackinac Island. Set 2 miles from downtown, this lakeside luxury retreat offers guests and visitors a one-of-a-kind experience. Having been closed for the past 2 years undergoing an extensive transformation, this property is ready to make its debut in June. We are seeing an experienced marketing leader to live and work on Mackinac Island to own all aspects of internal and external marketing materials, cultivate community relationships, plan and promote special events and partnerships and promote this iconic property.

The Marketing Manager will oversee the implementation of marketing initiatives at the property level, as well as be responsible for concepting and executing property-specific marketing efforts for The Inn at Stonecliffe. This will include cultivating relationships with local partners, as well as executing all organic marketing and brand realization onsite. The Marketing Manager will support promotional press efforts and generating brand awareness via social media platforms. This position will report directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing of with an indirect line to the corporate VP of Marketing for Schulte Hospitality Group. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, outgoing, a creative thinker, and enjoy working in a fast-pace entrepreneurial environment. Position will be on-site during the Mackinac Island season (April - October), and remote the remained of the year - preferably in the Detroit, MI area.

Position Responsibilities:

  • ·Drive traffic to the hotel, on-site dining and spa through concepting and executing dynamic marketing plans inclusive of advertising, email campaigns, local
  • events, programming and sponsorships
  • Develop relationships with local like-minded businesses to create meaningful partnerships. Interact and build relationships with the community to generate brand awareness and engagement
  • Create and updating property marketing calendars
  • Concept and execute programming events for the property and food & beverage outlet including guest chef dinners, concerts and more.
  • Create content plan and oversee any photoshoots
  • Interact with community on social platforms to drive followers and engagement
  • Assist with property marketing and promotions by being involved in design and creation process for promotional materials such as offers, e-blasts, advertising and collateral
  • Manage property marketing budgets
  • Keep website up-to-date with latest information
  • Create and direct brand development, including hotel website
  • Managing of hotel messaging/brand positioning
  • Direct PR, social and Digital Marketing Agencies
  • Identify, negotiate agreement and cultivate relationships in the community
  • Identify and vet new ideas and guest experiences, and work with operations team for rollout
  • Provide marketing expertise to the executive management team
  • Database management
  • Manage creative campaign development and production
  • Operational support and collateral management
  • Manage execution of projects
  • Performs any other job related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in Marketing, Public Relations or related field
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently demonstrate a high level of organizational skill
  • Hospitality experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
  • Negotiating Skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Must have flexible work hours that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
