**MISSION STATEMENT:**

The Salvation Army Santa Fe Thrift Store is looking to fill a Store Manager position. The successful candidate for this position will have good customer service skills, good organizational skills and be a self starter with the ability to problem solve. This position is benefit eligible and comes with vacation, sick, health, vision, life insurance, and more.

The Thrift Store Manager will supervise store employees to maintain performance level equal to the standards set forth by the Salvation Army policies and procedures manual. This position will schedule thrift store employees to ensure coverage in the store at all times, provide orientation and training for all new hires. The Store Manager will be responsible for maintaining excellent customer relations and an accurate inventory of goods on hand.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

* Accredited AA degree. Years of experience in a retail environment may be substituted on a two years for one year basis.

* Two years of demonstrated experience as a Supervisor in a retail environment of twenty or more staff**.**

* Demonstrated knowledge of cash controls, accounting and cashier procedures

* Detail oriented

* Team player with a spirit of cooperation and work with all others towards goals set by management

* Self-starter with ability to problem solve

* Able to delegate job tasks and give instructions in an oral and/or written manner

* Strong use of the English language in verbal and written communication

* Good organizational skills

* Ability to work with the public in a professional manner

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure

* Customer service mindset

* Ability to work both Friday and Saturday

* General knowledge of business protocols

* Ability and willingness to keep information confidential

* Must complete and adhere to Protecting the Mission requirements and guidelines, including the ability to pass a TSA background check

* A valid, in-state license and ability to pass The Salvation Armys in-house driving test and MVR check

* Ability to meet all applicable federal and state driving requirements such as DOT physicals

* If employee owns his/her own vehicle, must possess current auto insurance for instances in which a personal vehicle is used on TSA time or business. Please note that TSA adheres to the federal standards regarding mileage reimbursement.

* Comfort with and ability to operate a 20 box truck is preferred

* Must successfully complete a criminal background check

**SOFTWARE-RELATED QUALIFICATIONS:**

* POS, Cash register skills required

* Microsoft Word and Excel required, power point preferred

* Microsoft Publisher required, Organization Chart

* Lotus Notes, POS software, NCR Silver, helpful

* Ability to use new software programs with basic training.

* Ability to research online and access cloud data storage systems

* Working knowledge of integrated database applications and ability to use new software programs with basic training.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:**

Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
