Alarm Technician

Family-owned and operated Schuler Security, based in Marmora, NJ, seeks a full-time Alarm

Technician

Schuler Security provides peace of mind to residential and commercial customers in Cape May
and Atlantic Counties; we install and monitor burglar, fire and low temp alarms, cameras, Wi-Fi,
TV, phone, network wiring, smart thermostats and more to create an intelligent home.

We seek an experienced Alarm Installer/Technician with:

  • Knowledge of installation, programming and ability to troubleshoot systems
  • Experience with major brands/automated and addressable

systems/access/controls/CCTV

Installations require running and pulling wires/cables, programming, following codes,
regulations and standards. You must be able to:

  • Verify all system functions by testing all equipment, connections and signals
  • Identify and correct any issues that arise
  • Document all aspects of installation for future maintenance

This is a full time position that offers competitive pay, great benefits, and opportunity for
growth.

The Alarm Technician will be expected to:

Own and proficiently use hand tools/volt ohm meter
Be available for inclusion in our on-call service rotation (additional compensation)
Have sound oral and written communication skills; problem solving and troubleshooting

ability
Have good customer service and communication skills in order to answer questions and

resolve customer concerns
Computer competency a plus

Applying candidates must have a clean driving record and be able to work in various types of
environments (confined spaces, various heights, construction sites, etc.).

Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday 8-4:30
