We are looking for someone to join our Investment Services Platform Team (ISPT) to lead bringing together and performing the service oversight of our core investment platform, Aladdin by BlackRock Solutions (BRS). We will provide the training to develop your career.

The base.
You'll be based at our Broadlands Business Campus near Horsham in West Sussex. That's our operations hub – home to our client servicing, product reporting and operational oversight for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

About the team.
The Investment Services Platform Team (ISPT) is a central team within Operations, reporting to the Global Head of Investment Services with a global remit. The team provides support to the Investment, Dealing and Operations functions in Schroders Asset Management Business and works with teams across Schroders to implement change initiated from the three functions. The team aims to enable business growth, support business as usual, make operating model improvements, manage risk and simplify business processes.

 

What you'll do

• Take ownership of the oversight of the services provided by BlackRock Solution (BRS) for the Aladdin platform.
• Evolve the oversight framework and use of Supplier Vision (solution used to capture and track ongoing third party service oversight).
• Develop processes and outputs for periodic reporting, collating data & metrics and managing feedback from stakeholders in global teams, escalating and resolution where breaches occur.
• Prepare presentation material for periodic and ad hoc governance meetings with BRS. 
• Ownership of key activities to ensure adherence to Schroders Third Party Supplier Oversight Policies including risk control assessment, annual supplier due diligence, supplier criticality assessment, internal and external audit review, third party risk assessment, etc.
• Make sure controls are followed.
• Engage directly with BRS relationship leads, always looking for ways to improve.
• Monitor internal risk events, issues and actions, engaging IPST team through to resolution.
• Draft and maintain best practice procedures.
• Mentor and develop other team members.

 
 
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need.
• A strong level of vendor oversight experience.
• Knowledge of asset management and lifecycle workflow.
• Good with Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint and Excel.
• Good with understanding of data.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Experience of supervising, coaching or mentoring people.
