Schows Truck Center is Hiring a Heavy Duty Diesel Technician Near Idaho Falls, ID

Schow’s Truck Center, Idaho Falls, ID, is hiring a full time Heavy Duty Diesel Technician to join our team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
-Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
-Diagnoses cause of most malfunctions and performs repair; reports defects or malfunctions to manager.
-Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
-Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.
-Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
-Ensures that customers' vehicles are kept clean.
-Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.
-Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.
-Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
-Ability to read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
-Ability to write reports and procedure manuals.
-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
-Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
-The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
-While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
-The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and vibration.
-The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

QUALIFICATION:
-Diesel certification.
-Ability.
