What You’ll Be Doing

Responsible for performing First Line of Defense testing to ensure that departmental processes and systems comply with applicable laws and regulations.

The Payments Compliance Administration Analyst is responsible for executing outlined test cases specific to each business units function based on regulatory requirements and internal processes for the purpose of validating business line adherence to applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to : Truth-in-Lending Act (TILA), Electronic Funds Transfer Act (EFTA), Expedited Funds Availability Act, and NACHA Operating Rules & Guidelines.

  • Assist with the development of test plans and test cases based on test strategy and business function specifications to ensure that regulatory compliance and operational needs are met.
  • Assist with the review of three lines of defense reports and make recommendations on how to improve current practices and processes and solve issues related to business units.
  • Perform First Line of Defense testing in accordance with designed and approved test cases based on a function applicable to designated business unit within Payment Services.
  • Document all identified issues discovered during First Line of Defense testing. Ensure that all issues are tracked correctly in the assessment report.
  • Work closely with Payments, Compliance Admin Manager in updating test cases when appropriate to reflect changes related to compliance regulations and laws to ensure to law, regulations and business unit in product functionality or requirements.

Manage assigned testing timelines to ensure all testing and reposting is completed within the established timelines.

  • Demonstrate understanding of testing methodology, business unit processes and regulatory compliance requirements and standards applicable to First Line of Defense.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with others throughout Payment Services and organization, and ensure proper engagement with stakeholders, if needed throughout the testing process.
  • Use internal defect tracking tool(s) to document test cases, defects, record test case execution results and generate tracking reports for management.
  • Work with management to define user acceptance testing and assist subject matter experts (SMEs) within business units with user acceptance testing.

Additional Job Functions

  • Advanced communication and writing skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint), coupled with strong interpersonal abilities, to effectively convey complex audit / process topics across various organizational levels.
  • Basic knowledge of Truth-in-Lending Act (TILA), Electronic Funds Transfers Act (EFTA), Expedited Funds Availability Act, and NACHA Operating Rules & Guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-3 years of testing experience over multiple projects required
  • Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, ability to complete multiple concurrent tasks within specified deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and detail required
