Monsignor Slade Catholic School, a Pre-K (2) through 8th grade school located in Glen Burnie, Maryland, is seeking a part-time Instructional Assistant. Instructional Assistants provide direct support to teachers and students in a classroom setting.

Essential Functions

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and classroom management.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as directed by the teacher.
• Help prepare instructional materials and resources for lessons and activities.
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods.
• Reinforce positive behavior and classroom expectations with students.
• Assist with classroom organization, cleaning, and setup as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive learning environment for all students.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude when working with students.
• Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
