***This position requires a Certified Med Tech, LPN or RN for all elementary schools for the Extended Day Program in the afternoon.***
***Position is part time and on school days only.***
Description:
Ability to follow directions and work as a team member. Skill in basic First Aid procedures.
Knowledge of school policies and health department rules pertaining to head lice and contagious
diseases. Ability to organize and maintain an up-to-date filing system. Ability to use a
computer. Ability to communicate orally and in writing. Ability to plan, organize and establish
priorities related to assignment. Ability to carry out job responsibilities and handle sensitive
information in a confidential manner. Ability to work independently and make decisions with
minimum supervision. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a professional and courteous manner.
Ability to answer a telephone in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to work
cooperatively with others.
Job Summary:
To ensure that students experiencing health problems at school are attended to or
referred for appropriate care.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid Florida licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
3. Valid first aid certification.
4. Valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
5. Valid certification in use of an epinephrine injector.
6. Pediatric nursing experience preferred.
7. Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening.

Salary Information: Support Personnel. Salary depends on certification. One hundred ninety-six days worked per year (10 months). FLSA Non-Exempt.
