JOB TITLE: Community Eduction Access Project Assistant Reports to: Community Education Adult Programs Coordinator Job Summary: Provide coordination assistance and support for the Access Project program. Terms of Employment: Part Time, less then 20 hours a week
Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following:
Build Partnerships with local group homes and other Adults with Disabilities programs.
Create, teach and staff projects, classes and events.
Croodinate purchasing supplies and program details while staying within program budget.
Recruit volunteers and staff.
Develop marketing strategies to be implemented in partnership with the Adult and Marketing Coordinators
Update written program materials as needed
Other functions of the job include but are not limited to the following:
Perform other general duties as assigned to accomplish the objectives and goals of the program.
Attend program meetings and professional development as required.

Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge and experience working with the target population, Adults with disabilities.
Experience working with culturally, economically and socially diverse families.
Must demonstrate positive interpersonal skills and communicate effectively with families, staff, and community agencies.
Must be available for day, evening and occasional weekend events.
Proven ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Ability to work independently and discern and accept appropriate decision making authority as relates to the duties of the position.
Ability to understand and follow data privacy rules and regulations related to students and staff and maintain confidentiality and professionalism as it relates to handling and knowledge of sensitive program and district information.
Ability to anticipate action steps and provide follow-through to see an assignment through to completion.
Must have the ability and proven record of reporting to work on a regular and punctual basis.
Physical Requirements: General office working conditions, using close vision, walking, and talking; frequently using keyboard to input information into computer, reaching with arms and hands; presenting information to students and lifting up to 20 pounds.
