Description:
Seeking an MTSS ICU Interventionist at Hobart High School. Position available beginning the 2022-2023 school year.

Qualifications:
Applicant must hold a valid Indiana Teacher License with a High School setting.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides consultation and support to administrators, teachers, and school-based leadership teams to facilitate implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) at the district and school levels. Assistance activities include observation and feedback, modeling, interpreting data and other supportive assistance necessary to implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports.
  • Assists in monitoring the fidelity of implementation of MTSS at the school level including both academic and behavior support systems.
  • Provide levels of instruction and support in MTSS.
  • Use Skyward Arena scheduling for academic assist and PBIS (Voice and Choice).
  • Support data analysis for MTSS.
  • Working with students on post-secondary goals and options.
  • Provides MTSS staff development activities for school-based and district personnel.
  • Attends professional development and district-level MTSS meetings.
  • Models skillful use of data to inform decision-making.
  • Encourages parental involvement in students' education and ensures effective communication with students and parents.
  • Ensures that student conduct conforms to the school's standards and school district policies, and establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Coordinates with other secondary professional staff members, to evaluate and assess curriculum, and participates in faculty meetings and committees.

Additional Duties:
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as assigned by the Superintendent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of and experience implementing MTSS
  • Knowledge of college and career readiness curriculum
  • Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiation of instruction based upon student learning styles.
  • Knowledge of curriculum and concepts.
  • Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis and the formulation of action plans.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students.
  • Ability to use computer network system and software applications as needed.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and parents.
  • Ability to engage in self-evaluation with regard to performance and professional growth.

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others contacted in the course of work.
