Location: Claremont Middle School The Claremont Middle School, located at 107 South Street , in Claremont, NH, is seeking a long-term substitute teacher for our 6th-8th grade computer classes. This teacher will be working in a state-of-the -art technology room equipped with new computers, a touch screen computer board, and 3D printers. This individual will teach computer skill to students in sixth through grade eight. Being proficient in Scratch, HTML, 3D printing, computer animation etc. is a plus. The Claremont MIddle School (CMS) is a warm, family atmosphere that encourages creativity and shared decision making. Advises parents and/or legal guardians of student progress for the purpose of communicating expectations; student's achievements; developing methods for improvement and/or reinforcing classroom goals in the home environment.
Advises students for the purpose of improving performance, health status, problem solving techniques and a variety of personal issues.
Assesses student progress towards objectives, expectations, and/or goals for the purpose of providing feedback to students, parents and administration.
Collaborates with instructional staff, other school personnel, District personnel, parents and a variety of community resources for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes, achieving established classroom objectives in support of the school improvement plan.
Demonstrates pedagogical approaches that engage learners for the purpose of providing an effective program that addressing individual student requirements.
Differentiates classroom work for the purpose of providing students with instructional materials that address individualized learning within established lesson plans.
Directs student teachers, instructional assistants, volunteers and/or student workers for the purpose of providing an effective classroom program and addressing the needs of individual students.
Instructs students for the purpose of improving their success in academics through a defined course of study.
Manages student behavior for the purpose of providing a safe and optimal learning environment.
Job Requirements
At least 2 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
