Maple Avenue Elementary School within the Claremont School District has immediate openings and is accepting applications for one full-time Grade 3 Teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. Maple Avenue Elementary School serves 310 students at grades K-5. The ideal candidate will have a strong content background in the core content areas and in the Science of Reading. The candidate should also be well versed in Responsive Classroom or similar behavior and school climate approaches. The candidate should be ready to work in collaboration with their grade level team, Title I teachers, special education providers, paraeducators, and administration. Together at Maple Avenue we are laser-focused to ensure that our students are fluent in reading and mathematics.
The Claremont School District is located in the beautiful and picturesque Upper Valley Area of New Hampshire. The Claremont School District is approximately 35 minutes from Mount Sunapee Ski Resort and 30 minutes from all of the concerts and athletic events at Dartmouth College in Hanover. The Connecticut River flows nearby making kayaking and canoeing very convenient after work and on the weekends. Hiking trails are plentiful. Individuals with the following are encouraged to apply:

• Hold (or be eligible to hold) a valid New Hampshire elementary teaching certificate K-6.
• Familiarity with Heggerty, Fundations and other Science of Reading resources and materials.
• Excellent teaching, organizational planning, written and oral communication, collaboration skills.
• Commitment to the success of ALL students and the ability to understand and support the various learning styles of students.
• The ability to inspire and motivate a variety of learners.
• Effectively integrates social and emotional learning skills through regular interactions with students.
