SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Culinary summer camp teacher is responsible for the overall supervision of all students enrolled in their program. Summer camp teachers carry out daily activities, ensure the safety and physical well-being of the students, maintain daily communication with parents, and work within the Director to provide a high quality summer camp experience!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Create lesson plans and ensure they are carried out consistently and that they are developmentally appropriate.
• Engage students as individuals in a way that allows them to grow at their own abilities.
• Work with Director to address any student behavior concerns.
• Revisit plans and adapt lesson plans and activities to meet the needs of the group you are working with.
• Be knowledgeable of and adhere to state licensing regulations and be familiar with city accreditation standards.
• Ensure a safe learning environment.
• Maintain classroom organization and encourage children to respect their classrooms and clean up after themselves.
• Role model and work with students to understand the Technical Centers dedication to soft skills in the work place.
• Maintain daily, open communication with parents.
• Record all medical incidents and complete any necessary paperwork regarding program incident reports.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND LICENSURE
? Associates Degree
? One Year Teaching Experience in Trade
? NH Teaching License required
OTHER KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
? Summer Camp Teachers are expected to be deemed experts in their specific trades
? Be able to work with middle school student populations.
