Description

As an Irrigation Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining commercial and residential irrigation systems. This requires a working knowledge of evaluating and repairing the pipe, valves, & wiring associated with the irrigation system. You must be able to communicate with customers and have a great attitude to maintain our trust, service, integrity, & customer service satisfaction. All employees are expected to carry out the company’s purpose and demonstrate our core values. 

As an?Irrigation Technician?at Schill Grounds Management, you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job: 

• Repair all aspects of an underground irrigation system 
• Install, operate, & program all lawn irrigation controllers 
• Troubleshoot and repair any irrigation issues, including wiring, leaks, and general maintenance 
• Must demonstrate exceptional customer service & communication skills 
• Must maintain a professional appearance & attitude

• Expert knowledge of landscape maintenance standards, knowledge of plant material, and installation standards

Physical Demands 

• Employee will work in both an office and field environment; travel from site to site in various weather conditions; including rain, snow, sun, extreme heat, or cold. 
• Employee could be required to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time; operate motorized vehicles 
• Expected hours during the landscape season requiring flexibility to work between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm, including Saturdays, as needed. 
• Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate in snow removal activities.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with record acceptable to meet fleet insurance requirements 
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test 
• Experience in the irrigation field is a must 
• Good Time Management Skills 
• Willingness to learn & listen
