10-month, full-time position.

Job Description:

• Provide services to students who are deaf and hard of hearing who require services in their IEP's within general eucation and/or special education settings. 
• Obtain information on each student through observations, informal testing and medical updates from the student's physician. 
• Work with the child study team to diagnose and evaluate the student. 
• Develop goals and objectives for each student. 
• Consult with the student's teachers, other involved staff and parents to plan an appropriate program. 
• Meet with the student's parents to share information. 
• Supplement and reinforce classroom teaching. 
• Obtain and prepare materials and equipment to allow student access to the curriculum. 
• Share information concerning community and state agencies and resources available to the student. 
• Help the student increase independent functioning skills within the school and community.

Requirements: Illinois State license with LBS1 and Special Education endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
