The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Integrated Pediatric Behavioral Health Consultant is responsible for working with pediatric customer-owners providing culturally relevant and trauma-informed support to families using the bio-psycho-social model.
Integrated Pediatric Behavioral Health Consultants are integrated in Primary Care and provide targeted, evidence-based assessments and interventions for customer ages 0-18 years of age and their families. Integrated Pediatric Behavioral Health Consultants also provide consultation to Primary Care Teams regarding a wide array of pediatric behavioral health concerns (such as developmental concern, adjustment, behavior challenges, trauma, parent-child relationship, parenting support, anxiety, depression etc.) and refer families for long-term behavioral health support (individual and family therapy) with Southcentral Foundation and throughout the community as needed.
This position is located in the Alaska Native Primary Care Center and is a full-time Monday-Friday position.
This position has two (2) levels designed to provide progressively more responsible and independent work experiences. Progression between job levels is based on the demonstrated ability to successfully handle more progressively responsible assignments.
Qualifications:
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population.
