Sceye is Hiring a Legal Director Near Moriarty, NM
- Represent the company in judicial and administrative proceedings or negotiations.
- Offer strategic legal counsel and guidance on all legal matters including but not limited to corporate law, employment law, contracts, grants, litigation, regulatory requirements and fundraising agreements for venture backed start-ups, etc.
- Manage intellectual property and related contracts.
- Review, research, and draft opinions on a variety of legal issues.
- Structure, draft, negotiate and review contracts, agreements (employment and vendor), leases, and other legal documents recommending revisions as necessary.
- Select and retain outside counsel as required to obtain legal opinions or consult on various issues.
- Stay up to date on appliable legislative changes.
- Manage Non-Disclosure Agreements.
- Manage corporate governance requirements, including board minutes, communications and board resolutions.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations, which impact the company’s operations.
- Ability to analyze and interpret large amounts of information in a limited amount of time.
- Excellent communication skills to relay opinions.
- Highest integrity and honesty while inspiring and motivating others.
- Strong negotiating, decision-making, critical-thinking, analytical skills and capability to evaluate and solve complex problems.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to display the highest degree of professionalism amid changing and conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
- BS degree in Law and Juris Doctorate Degree. Active Bar Membership in good standing is required.
- Licensed to practice law in the United States (preferably in New Mexico state and federal court).
