We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in providing support and analysis in various financial areas, including rate of return, depreciation, working capital, acquisition opportunities, and major capital expansions. The successful candidate will utilize advanced analytical techniques, such as linear programming and spreadsheet modeling, to provide valuable insights to the management team.
Financial Forecasting, Reporting and Budgeting
Systematically monitor and project cash requirements, cash availability, and funding requirements.
Monitor loan funding projections and deposit flows. Review the pricing of the Credit Union's portfolio monthly or as needed.
Prepare balance sheet and income projections and evaluations for management. Upload monthly financial data into PROFITstar and produce monthly Financial Reports.
Assist in annual budgeting process and annual strategic planning activities.
Update existing and create new financial models to support credit union objectives as needed. Contribute to the ALCO & Board reporting process.
Financial Management and Support
Assist with monitoring and making changes in financial controls, policies, programs as necessary.
Develop and recommend enhancements to improve operational processes and procedures.
Analyze Big Data and deliver actionable insights via detailed Business Intelligence or infographic Reports.
Perform other duties and/or ad hoc reports as assigned.
Asset Liability Management
Serves as an Asset Liability Management specialist in running computer simulation models used in Asset/Liability Management (ALM).
Documents and validates model assumptions inputs.
Reviews and validates model results of income simulations and market value models to ensure outputs and analytics are reasonable.
Supports ALM model results with back testing, sensitivity analysis and ongoing monitoring and documentation in accordance with model risk management guidelines to ensure accurate results.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
3-5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably within a financial institution
High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) especially complex formula/function development and utilizing PivotTables and other methods to manipulate large datasets
Strong financial statement knowledge and understanding of the structure of a credit union's balance sheet and income statement
Robust knowledge of financial operations of a credit union, including but not limited to, profitability, liquidity, credit risk, interest rate risk, ALM, loan and deposit pricing
Experience with MS Access, Report Writers, GL Accounting Systems, Query Tools, Data Manipulation
Experience in applying techniques used in analyzing and reporting financial information
Knowledge of financial accounting and management techniques
Experience & understanding of accounting principles (US GAAP)
Programming Skills
The ability to do some minimal coding or understand what is necessary to use a system to improve processes with different technologies is an asset.
Computer Languages most encountered are SQL and VBA.
Data Visualization & Analytical Skills
Ability to handle/analyze big data from disparate sources accurately, thoroughly, and efficiently; organize data into simple, complete, and concise presentation formats with appropriate infographics via data visualization platforms like PowerBI and formulate a supportable conclusion
Other Skills and Abilities
Ability to perform financial and economic analyses at a macro and micro level and effectively explain cause and effect
Effective verbal/written communication skills to interact with all levels of Credit Union personnel
Must be able to think through complex problems and develop solutions

Speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence
