    Description: This position will be responsible for the delivery of academic and functional programming for a Functional Life Skills classroom. Effective communication skills are required to supervise education technicians, integrate related service providers, coordinate with general education staff, and work with families. Knowledge and experience in writing IEPs and other special education paperwork, along with the understanding of state and federal special education regulations is highly preferred.
    Qualifications: State of Maine Department of Certification as Teacher of Exceptional Students (282) or Teacher of Students with Severe Intellectual and Associated Impairments (286), experience with autism spectrum disorders and positive behavior plans preferred
    Maine State Law requires ALL school employees to be fingerprinted and pass a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC). A copy of your CHRC MUST be uploaded as part of your application to be considered.
