Description:

• Has a passion for working with middle school age students
• Understands diversity and cultural differences, and develops strong community partnerships
• Is versed in teacher supervision, evaluation, and school safety
• Implements and monitors school-wide behavioral expectations and policies as stated in the Student Handbook.
• Has knowledge of effective adult learning practices that support a learning organization
• Is able to manage multiple tasks
• Has experience with administrative aspects of 504 and IEPs
• Assists in directing and contributing to the planning and logistical tasks of a large school
• Actively participates in committees and ongoing educational work in the district and community
• Participates in student activities beyond the school day
• Has experience in Educational Administration

Qualifications:

• An advanced degree in Educational Leadership or its equivalent
• Maine certification as Assistant Principal (045), or the ability to obtain such a certificate upon hire
