Scandinavian Communities has an immediate opening for a 32 hour Bookkeeper/Accountant to process and review all payables in a multi-facility healthcare environment with a skilled nursing facility and assisted living. Knowledge of healthcare preferable. Review of all invoices for accuracy, appropriate approvals, and account distribution. Prepare weekly aging report. Minimum of high school diploma., preferably bachelor's degree with a minimum of two (2)years' of business office procedures. Strong PC skills and knowledge of payable processes. Understanding of billing in the long term care environment is preferable. Ability to communicate well with families and vendors. Attention to detail with checking figures, postings and documents for correct entry, accuracy, and proper coding. Assist in maintaining account analysis and work papers to support monthly and annual financial statements. Prepare and/or post other journal entries as needed. Team player to work collaboratively with the other office staff.
