The Job

Position supports the Star Quality Team and HealthCare Informatics in activities related to project management, quality improvement, and measure performance reporting.

You Will

  • Gather, compile, research, and report information. Prepare clear and concise presentations for committee, department, and workgroup meetings. Well versed and knowledgeable with Excel, ability to create formulas, build data dashboards, and familiar with building KPI tables/ data charts.
  • Interpret data and information around various project reports. Collaborate with workgroup / program sponsors to design and evaluate the effectiveness of quality initiative programs. Collaborate with interdepartmental teams on development of key health equity projects to meet corporate goals. Foster open communication with workgroup, organizational project skills, and time management on all projects Ability to master people management and conflict resolution skills effectively.
  • Working independently, manage and lead multiple, complex projects related to Star Quality interventions and programs. Gain an understanding of the business needs and develop a project approach to achieve desired outcomes. Plan, budget, monitor and report the status of projects. Establish project goals, objectives, milestones, and deliverables using project management tools. Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation (charters, RAID, project plans, timelines, decision log, etc.) Identify project barriers and troubleshoot issues. Develop reporting on project success metrics, analytics, and outcomes. Manage resources as needed. Optimize core team planning sessions to collect feedback, provide project status, and create transparency on project development for team members.
  • Identify opportunities and make recommendations related to Star Quality interventions and programs. Create, develop, and implement multi-faceted interdepartmental projects from conception.
  • Lead and manage workgroup(s) and Star Quality measure owners with a focus on ongoing Star Quality program or measure improvement. Communicate effectively and provide a liaison role between project / program sponsors, executive team and project teams at all levels in the company. Identifying process improvements opportunities by identifying gaps within perspective measures and create solutions. Enhance emotional intelligence skills to build and reinforce interdepartmental relationships for cross functional projects.
  • Demonstrate leadership and vision; understand the big picture and how programs / projects fit into the larger workgroup strategy. Operate at a senior level capacity with very minimal guidance from leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business or related field of study preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • 3 years of experience in Health Care / Managed Care or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in Project Management required. 5 years’ experience in Project Management preferred.
  • Demonstrated flexibility, ability to multi-task and facilitate cross functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to express ideas in a clear and organized manner.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to efficiently handle multiple projects with changing priorities.
  • Advanced / expert skills with MS Project and Excel
  • Familiar with Visio, Mural, Shelf, Trello (preferred)
