Job Summary:

Singer Industrial, one of American’s largest Industrial Distributors, has an opening for a General Manager to lead the establishment of Central Hydraulics Company in Daytona, Florida. Singer Industrial is a group of value-added distributors in the industrial rubber products industry. Singer Industrial is a decentralized group of value-added distributors in the industrial rubber products industry. With 17 platform companies to distribute and fabricate industrial & hydraulic hose, conveyor belt and gaskets. We have 50 locations in the U.S. that serve a diverse market portfolio including petrochemical, oil/gas, food & beverage, OE equipment, marine, MRO, construction, rental supply. 

We are looking for a General Manager to manage the day-to-day and strategic direction of the Central Hydraulics Company. Central has 5 locations in Florida and sales of around 20 million, with growth on the horizon. The General Manager will manage the day-to-day and strategic direction in the Daytona Beach, Florida area.

This is an onsite role located in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Summary of Responsibilities:

We are looking for a General Manager to manage the day to day and strategic direction of the Central Hydraulics Company. Central has 5 locations in Florida and sales around 20 million, with growth on the horizon.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Will own full P&L and be responsible for the overall vision, strategy and year-over-year profitable growth of the business with an emphasis on growth, productivity, operational excellence and communication at all levels.
• Develop, motivate, and manage multi locations within the organization
• Ability to manage all operational and financial aspects of business
• Meet sales revenue and profit goals.
• Develop and forecast annual sales quotas for territories, project expected sales volume, analyze results and trends, track competition, recommend pricing strategies and monitor costs.
• Lead sales team to develop and implement sales strategies that align with overall objectives.
• Communicate and resolve customer issues as needed.
• Travel to customer locations as needed.
• Provide timely and candid performance reviews of direct reports.
• Provide direction of hiring, promotion, and training of staff, ensuring company policies are followed.
• Create and maintain a team environment. 
• Demonstrates ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees. 

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Successful P&L leadership track record as a standalone leader of an organization with multi-site manufacturing with full P&L and balance sheet responsibility.
• Extensive Experience in all Aspects of Supplier Relationship Management
• Strong Understanding of Customer and Market Dynamics and Requirements
• Knowledge of distribution industry with preference on fluid power or material handling products
• Willingness to Travel and Work in a Team of Professionals
• Proven Leadership and Ability to Drive Sales Teams and Manage by Collaboration
• Strong Knowledge of the Sales Process and Can Demonstrate Effectively
• Strong Ability in Directing Conversation and Obtaining Planned Objectives
• Excellent Communication Skills (written & verbal)
• Interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships internally and externally
• Demonstrated computer proficiency: Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. 
• Demonstrated trust and integrity

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in business (sales, marketing, finance) or equivalent work experience is a plus but not required.
• Current permanent U.S. work authorization required – no sponsorship.
• 3 years of experience in the industrial and hydraulic hose industry highly preferred
• Project management through the full project life cycle.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
