Position at SBM Management

SBM Management is searching for a Turf Irrigation Tech to join our team! The Turf / Irrigation Technician uses specialized equipment to mow and groom the turf and maintains all irrigation systems for our properties.

Operates medium-duty grounds equipment.

Responsibilities :

• Adheres to safety protocols and regulations to ensure the well-being of oneself, coworkers, clients, and the public.
• Operates and maintains equipment including but not limited to Zero turn mower, walk behind reel mowers, walk behind rotary mowers, line trimmer, edger, and spreader,
• Responsible for mowing, trimming, raking, seeding, irrigating, weeding, fertilizing, patching, and preparing areas for new turf to ensure that the estates turf is in an optimal condition (safety and beauty).
• Identify safety risks such as raised roots or holes and remediate appropriately.
• Gather, remove, and dispose of green-waste and / or trash materials
• Operate, inspect, audit, maintain, adjust and repair the existing systems to ensure they perform at maximum efficiency and conserve water.
• Set and maintain automatic irrigation systems to run systematically to ensure adequate moisture for plantings according to the landscape care program.
• Design, install, test and maintain new irrigation systems, backflow devices and controllers.
• Assist with other estate groundskeeping tasks as necessary.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma / GED
• Required to have a valid driver’s license.

Compensation : $25.00 - $40.00 per hour

Shift : Full-time
