Overview

Faculty Affairs Coordinator - Stony Brook Radiology, UFPC

Location: Stony Brook, NY

Schedule: Full time

Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30 AM - 5 PM

Salary Range: $69,863 - $91,429 (pay will be determined based on experience, preferred qualifications, and education)

Salaries vary depending on experience, education and current market for the position. Human Resources determines the external and internal equitable salary for each employee. 

Responsibilities

SUMMARY: Under the general guidance of the Department Administrator, acts independently within established guidelines to oversee and manage projects and staffing within the Psychiatry department.

Job Duties & Essential Functions:

  • Must be proficient in researching and developing job descriptions according to legal standards
  • Posting jobs on internet job boards and maintaining vacancies
  • Coordinating and facilitating interviews (day of)
  • Intercepting resumes from job boards, fax, CPMP and recruitments firms
  • Reviewing resumes and sending qualified candidates to lead search committee member
  • Compiling interview feedback as required
  • Building and maintaining relationships with faculty, peers, and candidates
  • Prepare request to recruit as well as hire packets.
  • Draft offer letters according to legal requirements
  • Preparing APT packets
  • Sending out weekly faculty update on open positions
  • Updating master spreadsheet with any faculty changes
  • Updating master spreadsheet of openings
  • Support team with data input and reports
  • Preparing welcome packets and first day itineraries for all new providers
  • Acting as support to the Chair when the Executive Assistant is out
  • Implements a variety of sourcing strategies to attract and maintain a pool of candidates
  • Develop solid strategies that include internal and external research methods
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or in lieu of degree, a minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle recruitment
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Knowledge and understanding of Employment and Labor Laws
  • Must be proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Must be a team player who is resourceful and capable of working in a time-sensitive environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or in lieu of degree, a minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience.
  • 5-7 years of full-life cycle recruitment
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work independently and use appropriate judgement.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with patients, staff and medical providers. The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position is largely sedentary and requires the employee to remain stationary for a majority of the day. Any additional physical demands will be outlined and provided by management.

Given StaffCo’s employment responsibilities, it is deemed the “employer” for employment and labor law purposes. Thus, the employees are private sector employees of StaffCo, not public sector employees of SUNY. The private sector nature of the StaffCo employees has been approved by NYS Civil Service and upheld in a decision by the US National Labor Relations Board.
