We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled IT professional to join our IT team as an entry level System Administrator. This position is ideal for candidates with a solid foundation in helpdesk support and a strong desire to advance their career in systems administration. The successful candidate will be working with our infrastructure teammates to continuously maintain, upgrade, and secure our IT infrastructure, with a focus on virtualization, Windows Server, networking, and cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain virtual machines to support various applications and services.
  • Install, configure, and manage Windows Server environments.
  • Utilize routing and switching knowledge to optimize network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • Manage Active Directory, including user and group administration, Group Policy, and security settings.
  • Understand and implement Microsoft Azure services, including hybrid configurations with on-premises Active Directory and Entra ID integration.
  • Independently research and troubleshoot technical issues using documentation, training materials, and vendor support resources.
  • Demonstrate advanced proficiency in basic troubleshooting techniques and escalate complex issues appropriately.
  • Utilize vendor support channels effectively to resolve technical challenges before escalating to senior team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in helpdesk support or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and experience with VMWare or Hyper-V.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022).
  • Experience with routing and switching technologies (Cisco, Aruba, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Active Directory administration and Group Policy management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud configurations.
  • Intune device management experience
  • Windows Autopilot experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with team members.
  • Certifications such as MCSA, CompTIA Network , or CCNA are a plus.
