Restaurant Cashier Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome and greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor as they enter the restaurant.
• Process credit card transactions accurately and efficiently, obtaining necessary signatures and ensuring security protocols are followed.
• Provide change for customers paying with cash, maintaining an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift.
• Perform daily closeout procedures for the register, reconciling transactions and preparing reports for management.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations during peak hours.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and surrounding areas.
• Assist with other tasks such as answering phones, taking reservations, and seating customers during busy periods.

Restaurant Cashier Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certificate preferred.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred.
• Proficiency in basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a positive and courteous manner.
• Friendly disposition, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $12.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
