Work Schedule:

12-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break. Personnel rotate every four months between Day (0545-1815) and Night (1745-0615) shifts.

Minimum Qualifications (Applicants must meet the following requirements):

• Education: Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technology program (ABHES) or complete formal training through a U.S. Armed Forces branch for surgical technicians.
• Experience: Minimum 12 months of active full-time OR/surgical tech experience, with the last 24 months in the field, including Obstetrics/Gynecology and Cesarean Sections.
• Clinical Certification: Hold CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) certification, or possess a relevant Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) certification.
• Life Support Certifications: Maintain ARC or AHA BLS certification.
• Security: Able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.

Core Duties:

• Perform versatile roles in the operating room, including scrubbing, circulating, and assisting with patient transport.
• Handle Sterile Processing and Distribution Department tasks as needed.
• Assist in training new personnel.
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide CPR and advanced cardiac life support when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing education.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues and adhere to clinic standards.
• Ensure equipment is clean and properly stored.
• Follow safety and infection control guidelines.
• Prepare and maintain sterile equipment.
• Assist in surgical procedures and specimen care.
• Possess knowledge of relevant medical topics.
• Utilize basic computer skills for data entry.
• Operate various medical and non-medical equipment.
• Understand and ensure compliance with clinic standards and protocols.
