Overview
This internship will support The Save Mart Companies Enterprise Date Warehouse (EDW) organization with a series of Google Big Query (GBQ) assignments focusing on cube design/ETL development and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting using Microsoft Power BI. This position will report to our Director of IT Corporate Applications. In this role, you will be an integral contributor in a fast-paced part of our business and given the opportunity to participate in a variety of important responsibilities working directly with two of our EDW architects. This position will primarily be remote, with some additional time spent in the TSMC bay area office in Dublin, CA. In the office time will be planned accordingly. This is a great opportunity to be directly involved with the very fast-paced grocery retail market and learn the fundamentals of retail EDW using GBQ, Power BI, agile methodologies, and weekly deliverables.

Responsibilities/Projects

• GBQ
• Design and develop console and command line jobs and queries
• Migrate cubes and datasets to GBQ
• Load, Transform, Extract (LTE) and automate datasets needed by other systems
• Develop Machine Learning (ML) models
• Generate insights
• CI/CD
• Design and build Power BI reports
• Special Assignments:
• Supports other projects and efforts as directed by the Director, IT Corp Applications.
