This position is a pivotal role on the SavATree marketing machine! The Marketing Event Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining an innovative event strategy and platform to attract top quality customers to our organization. What a day is like:

The Marketing Events Specialist kicks off their day in the Marketing Huddle, which is our opportunity to get in touch with each other, become informed on the overall needs and news in the business. We review our key metrics and each team member shares what they are working on, and any help they may need. And “feel good Fridays” are when we celebrate our successes! Up next would most likely be a review of the marketing calendar to see which events are in the pipeline that need attention, and to review event requests submitted by our branch locations. There may be a strategy session to attend, B2B event research to pursue, post event email to review or a new branch to collaborate with on their event plan and budget. We are building a team as our organization expands and we are very open to the unique contributions you can bring to the role! If you like a quick pace and lots of variety with a great group of people, this might be for you. This position handles the logistics of over 150 events per year, ranging from a simple table at a garden tour to a national trade show with professional booth materials. We are supporting a sales team of some of the greatest people you would ever want to meet, and they are grateful for the help.

What kind of person are we looking for? Someone with:

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, hospitality, business, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3 years demonstrated event & conference management experience in either external, customer facing events or internal training organization
• The ability to keep a lot of balls in the air and enjoy the challenge of a fast pace!
• Strong attention to detail, tech savvy
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
