Savannah-Chatham County Schools is Hiring a Talent Services-Recruiter Near Savannah, GA

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Talent Services Recruiter is responsible for identifying and attracting top talent for all SCCPSS positions by coordinating and implementing recruitment, retention and employment programs to ensure low turnover and availability of qualified applicants to meet District operating needs. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to identify top-level talent through a variety of sourcing/recruiting techniques and will proactively source passive candidates using internal/external networking, university partnerships and a variety of current social media strategies. This is a highly visible position that requires the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external clients.

SALARY SCHEDULE: Teach

WORK DAYS: 250


REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Adminstration, Education or other related field

2. Experience, Skill, and Certification:

  • Must have a valid professional Georgia teaching certificate
  • Three (3) years of experience working in a Human Resources office to include but not limited to recruitment in a large organization, compensation, training, employee relations, policies/processes, performance management, talent planning
  • Valid State Issued Driver’s License
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Skilled in the use of social media platforms.
  • Proven ability to support/interact with senior level management
  • Knowledge of teacher competencies and ability to identify high quality teachers based on resumes, assessments, interviews.
  • Experience in a role where multiple projects and competing demands are the norm.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate effectively across multiple departments and levels with a minimum of direction or supervision
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality as required

Preferred:

  • Previous experience with recruitment and content creation

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Leads the delivery, execution, and assessment of recruitment initiatives that enable the acquisition of top talent for all SCCPSS positions.
  • Collaborates closely with the talent management team to design and manage the implementation of talent identification strategies, while ensuring alignment with strategic plan objectives.
  • Collaborates with the Communications Department to develop internal and external branding for programs, rollout programs, initiatives, and communications to stakeholders.
  • Creates and maintains annual recruiting plans to ensure the District is hiring the best possible talent for both current and future roles.
  • Serves as talent acquisition subject matter expert through full cycle recruitment along with the development and implementation of comprehensive recruitment plans.
  • Builds and executes talent strategies that strengthen our recruiting culture and candidate experience.
  • Manages effective delivery of cycle recruitment and selection services including: ongoing communication with hiring managers through the recruitment process, sourcing candidates, interviewing, and assessing candidates.
  • Identifies, trains, and builds capacity of internal staff to assist with recruiting events, online interviews and application review.
  • Works closely with talent management team to continuously improve procedures, systems, and policies related to recruitment and retention.
  • Sets activity and recruitment goals for talent management, and provides accountability structure and key performance indicators, such as time-to-fill and teacher effectiveness measures, to ensure transparency and success.
  • Coordinates a continuous recruiting program for the purpose of employing sufficient numbers of qualified personnel to staff classified positions in the respective client groups.
  • Meets regularly with all stakeholders to ensure alignment with district talent strategies and success measures.
  • Develops collaborative relationships with peers, subordinates, and leadership in order to facilitate open, constructive communication.
  • Develops and implements a search strategy to identify active and source passive candidates.
  • Develops and implements the strategy for campus and experienced recruitment advertising & postings that utilizes the latest recruitment marketing concepts including search engine optimization and social media platform.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to develop a strong understanding of department culture, organizational strategy, and talent profiles to deliver on the hiring needs of the schools/departments.
  • Conducts in-depth screenings and assesses potential candidates for level of interest, qualifications, and compensation requirements, and converts hard-to-find passive talent through an understanding of the district.
  • Uses innovative sourcing and marketing/branding techniques to engage both active and passive candidates.
  • Develops a schedule and represents the District for recruiting purposes at identified networking and industry events, job fairs, conferences, etc.
  • Overseas the student teacher/intern program while maintaining valid Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs).
  • Stays apprised of all laws and regulations within the appropriate jurisdictions as they relate to recruitment and selection.
  • Partners with the IT function to implement desired technological changes and upgrades which affect recruitment and selection activities.
  • Required to have prompt, regular attendance in-person and be available to work on-site, in-person during regular business hours and as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative.


TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 250 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience. Exempt.
