Savage is hiring a Tax Accountant to join our team in Midvale, UT! In this role, you will provide sales, property, and fuel tax support for the Tax Department. You may also assist with support for audits, technical tax research, identifying systems and process improvements, and other special projects as needed.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Compile and analyze financial information for tax filings with Oracle
• Prepare indirect tax declarations, filings, and returns
• Perform multi-state sales, property, and fuel tax compliance
• Assist with tax audits
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations for multiple accounts
• Respond to internal and external indirect tax issues efficiently and accurately
• Complete special tax projects as needed

What You Need to Be Successful:

• BS Degree in Accounting, Tax, and/or Finance
• 1 years of related work experience
• Advanced Excel skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
• Experience with Oracle is a plus
• Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with initiative and desire to comply with local, state, and federal regulations
• Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment and be flexible with sudden changes

Physical Requirements

• This role is in an office setting where sitting and/or standing for long periods is required
