Sauna360 Inc, a Watkins Wellness/Masco company is looking to add an R&D Tech to their team! This person will assist with coordinating, planning, and managing development projects that advance the growth of the business per corporate objectives. To assist with document support to the Quality Program by creating inspection requirements, recording the inspection results, and providing feedback to the Product Engineering Manager. To assist with support document control for product manuals and design changes. The wage range starts at $25 to $32 per hour based on experience and knowledge.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist and provide support to manufacturing.
• Assist with support of technical document control throughout Sauna360 in various capacities
• Assist the Product Engineering Manager on laboratory testing of electrical products, including associated record keeping.
• Provide input and assistance on other new product development as needed, including design input, testing, and any other documentation.
• Assist to create and review drawings for technical accuracy.
• Be an active participant/contributor on work teams.
• Perform tasks required to support vendor manufacturing, quality, and new product/process development.
• Lead person to provide input on the quality program, and create and maintain incoming quality logs.
• Review applicable inspection documentation (Work Instructions and Inspection Procedures) to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Participate in project teams and improvement initiatives, as directed.
• Assist in technical development projects to support the overall company goals.
• Any other tasks necessary for efficient operation of the R&D/Quality Department as requested by the Product Engineering Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical degree in electrical or electro-mechanical science or equivalent experience
• And/or four or more years of manufacturing or product development experience in activities associated with product manufacturing

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Strong oral communication and technical writing skills required
• Ability to effectively assist in leading, interacting, making decisions, and problem-solving
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and math equations.
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Self-starter with proven experience in good customer skills
• Solid understanding of electrical and electronic issues; including troubleshooting, reading electrical schematics, and repair
• Sound understanding of wood issues and repair
• Excellent computer skills. Windows and MS Office are a must.
• Basic CAD experience is a plus.
• Previous training and/or leadership experience is a plus.
• Solid organization skills
