Saugus Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team! Our AHHA accredited six doctor practice celebrates the bond between pets and people.

We are looking for a team player with exceptional client service and communication skills, attention to detail with a positive and compassionate attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy and catheter placement
• Obtain laboratory sample collection, process, and possibly interpret results (fecal/parasite analysis, ear cytology, skin cytology, urinalysis, blood smears)
• Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical, injectable)
• Prep and assist in surgery and perform dental cleanings
• Ability to effectively communicate and educate clients
• Use of computerized medical records and invoicing

Qualifications:

• State of MA Veterinary Technician License required
• Motivated to maintain our standards of excellent client services and high- quality patient care
• Team player with exceptional client service and communication skills, attention to detail with a positive and compassionate attitude
• Minimum of 1-year of experience preferred
• Veterinary software experience is a plus
• Hours will include weekdays, some evenings, and weekends. Scheduled to fill our business needs. Hourly wage will commensurate with experience.
