Please apply online at SAU39.orgPosition Overview: Clark-Wilkins Elementary School is seeking a dynamic and motivated school leader to join their community. This individual would be a part of a three-person building-based leadership team and will have primary responsibility for building leadership and special education oversight for preschool and kindergarten students at Clark School. Clark School houses approximately 175 students and includes integrated preschool and full-day kindergarten programs.The Associate Principal partners fully with the principal of Clark-Wilkins and primarily serves as the lead administrator for the PreK/K school building. The associate principalshould have a deep understanding of the federal law and the New Hampshire Procedural Safeguards to support all students and to ensure compliance under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Instructional Services- Lead a community of early childhood educators, related service providers, and student support staff members- Serve as Local Education Agency (LEA) at all meetings required under IDEA and 504- Observe, evaluate, and coach regular education and special education staff to implement high-quality instructional practices- Oversee and enforce New Hampshire Procedural Safeguards under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (504)- Collaborate with administrators and school staff to support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) at the building level- Oversee/monitor child find responsibility at the building level- Assist the Director of Student Services in disseminating information to building leadership and staff as necessaryWork with the Director of Student Services to develop appropriate budget and oversight of expenditures at the building levelSupervisory Responsibilities: - Assist the Principal in overseeing and working directly with main office staff, guidance counselors, nurses, and support staff.- Assist the Principal in recruiting, hiring, supervising, and evaluating all building-level personnel- Oversee staff and ensure district policies and building procedures are followed.Curriculum- Assist in planning and implementing Professional Development at the building level- Assist in analyzing class and grade-level student data to inform instruction- Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting school-wide data- Assist in planning and implementing specialized instruction curriculumSchool Operations, Facilities, and Budget- Assist with the development and implementation of a master schedule, including scheduling for paraprofessionals, interventionists, and interventions- Support and collaborate with professional staff throughout the budget processSchool Culture and ClimateServe as a member of the Student Response TeamWork collaboratively with all teachers and staff, providing coaching and support for school staffThe position reports to the Principal of Clark-Wilkins Elementary SchoolQualifications & Skills: Required: New Hampshire Principal Certification (0003)Experience in an administrative role, such as Assistant Principal or Special Education Coordinator.Experience teaching in special education or early childhood education (PK-2)Preferred: Special Education Administrator Certification (0006)Minimum of 3 years experience in an administrative role, such as Assistant Principal, Special Education CoordinatorSpecial Position Requirements: Attend evening meetings, including but not limited to School Board Meetings, PTA, budget meetings as required by the building Principal/Superintendent
