Sasquatch Car Wash is seeking an experienced leader and manager to join our team at its launch in Bonney Lake, WA. We are looking for smart, kind and driven individual who will be instrumental in building the culture of Sasquatch Car Wash from the beginning.

The General Manager (GM) will be working on site at the car wash managing the day-to-day operations and staffing for the site. The GM will set the standard for the customer experience, holding all employees to those expectations. This individual will be responsible for the proper functioning and maintenance of car wash equipment. Taking accountability for the business’ success, the GM will be the key stakeholder of sales goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

People Management

• Leads by example with professionalism, discipline, drive, and courtesy.
• Assists in hiring, training, and retaining a team of smart, kind, and driven people.
• Problem solves performance issues among employees, including employee incentives and rewards and discipline issues.
• Manages team members during shifts.
• Helps create the weekly staffing schedule.

Site Management

• Becomes an expert in car wash equipment, products, and standards.
• Identifies and problem-solves equipment and property maintenance issues in cooperation with the ownership group.
• Understands and performs technical maintenance of car wash machinery, including monitoring inventory of chemicals and other supplies.
• Ensures location is clean and well-maintained; performs and/or delegates general housekeeping and maintenance responsibilities as needed.
• Upholds strict safety standards.

Sales and Customer Management

• Meets membership sales goals.
• Motivates team members in driving membership sales.
• Handles or escalates vehicle damage claims with a sense of urgency.
• Coordinates with marketing team during promotional efforts.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Self-motivated and results driven leader.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, including written and technology-based communications.
• Record of excellent customer service and people skills.
• Experience with a membership model business (preferred).
• Experience managing preventative maintenance on complex machinery (preferred).
• Must be able to work various hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to maintain a clean appearance as per company standards.
• 4 years or more of customer service experience, with beginning management experience.
• Experience hiring, training, and managing diverse Team Members.
• Proficiency with digital technology including iPad applications and POS software.
• Ability to read and comprehend moderately complex technical material related to mechanical equipment, chemicals and safety manuals.
• Retail or service industry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent. Some post-high school training preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Person will work outside in a loud environment (due to equipment and traffic) in all weather conditions. The person will be in constant motion and will have physical activities, such as lifting (0-50 lbs.), bending, reaching, stooping and standing for prolonged periods of time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00 - $38.46 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
