About the job

We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to design, build, and support scalable automated test frameworks, tools, and test suites to ensure quality within expected timelines during the software model development cycle.

As a Sr. Associate Software Development Engineer in Test you will:

• Involvement in all steps of the development lifecycle.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and scripts that address specific needs.
• Design and implement test plans (cases, scenarios, usage).
• Create test strategies, test scenarios, and test ideas with clear intent.
• Test model accuracy and performance.
• Research innovative technologies, trends, architectures, and implementation techniques as they relate to the delivery of models and data in CI/CD.
• Understand complex usage concepts and assess applications’ ability to fulfill them.
• Design, develop, document, and execute manual tests when automated scripts are not available.
• Perform peer code review.
• Identify risks, issues, potential defects, or defects in any phase of the project life cycle, managing them through closure.
• Demonstrate aptitude for problem solving and debugging of complex software systems.
• Ability to develop creative solutions to complex technical problems. 
• Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization’s secure software development goals.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related quantitative field.
• 2-5 years of experience developing automated tests using REST, Python, or other modern assert-based frameworks.
• Experience working with container platforms and technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Exposure to GitHub, Jenkins, Git, and Gerrit.
• Solid debugging skills.
• Experience working in an agile software development environment.
• Prior experience working with collaboration tools such as Jira. 
• Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure in a public cloud platform, such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Exposure to programming languages such as Groovy or Go.
• Proficiency in big data handing tools such as SAS (PROC SQL, BASE SAS, and SAS/STAT), Python programming, R programming, or ONNX.
