About the job

The SAS Cloud Operations team is looking for a Senior Manager to lead our global Cloud Technical Lead service. You’ll lead a group of our strongest SAS experts delivering outstanding service for cloud customers. Besides the impact you will have leading a large US team you will also shape the global culture for teams in Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.

As a Senior Manager, you will:

• Ensure department follows policies and procedures. Recommend any changes.
• Provide technical leadership for projects; advise as necessary. Ensure departmental goals are met.
• Assume responsibility for a global technical service.
• Ensure customer projects have appropriate staffing.
• Set performance goals/standards/objectives for the team. Perform all management responsibilities for the team including coaching and development.

Required qualifications

• 12 years of experience in IT, application support, and/or technical consulting including 5 years of experience in a leadership role with 2 years in a formal management role.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience with Linux

• Experience with SAS systems or SAS programming.
• Experience working with global teams.
• Experience with Kubernetes
