SARK WIRE is Hiring a Logistics Coordinator Near Toccoa, GA

Summary: Responsible for overseeing all aspects of the logistics department, including its interactions with other departments, by performing the following duties:

Receive work orders from the customer services department and/or finance department.

Generate material release form using the corresponding work order.

Using information provided by the shipping carrier, verify that the shipping truck and driver’s ID correspond correctly, before releasing the material to the shipper.

Assist in loading product onto the truck.

Prepare all paperwork related to material shipping loads, such as material test certifications and packing lists.

Forward all appropriate shipment and related paperwork to the customer.

Arrange trucking and pickup for all Sark Wire driver pick-ups.

Follow all established workplace safety rules and regulations.

Notify appropriate parties for all incoming shipments.

Arrange pick-up of empty reels, as needed.

Generate and distribute all incoming shipment reports as well as raw materials received reports.

Provide and maintain loading dock security.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Coordinator with the Logistics Manager to direct the work of the forklift driver employees.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Two to four years of relevant experience required.

Computer Skills:

Ability to use and comprehend word processing software, spreadsheet software, inventory software, internet software, manufacturing software, and database software. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work in outdoor weather conditions and a manufacturing environment.

The employee must have clear vision at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more, the ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point. The employee must also have three-dimensional vision with the ability to judge distances and special relationships, and the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus while observing color.
