Sargent & Lundy is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative individual like you to join our team! We currently have an opening for a C# .NET Developer Intern to utilize and expand your web-based development skills.

Sargent & Lundy is a global leader in power and energy consulting, where innovation meets integrity, diversity, and a commitment to quality. Your responsibilities will encompass, but not be limited to, the following:

• Develop REST API's utilizing C# .NET and front-end apps (REACT, MVC, Power Apps, etc.).
• Collaborate with team, other IT professionals and end users in developing code to build and integrate home grown and commercial applications
• Coordinate internal customer requirements, build a programmatic solution, test the deliverable, and document what was done
• Continuously learn and present new techniques at Communities of Practice to IT staff
• Evaluate and recommend open-source tools and other add-ins that will shorten development time

This position offers the flexibility of a hybrid schedule with the expectation of 3 days per week in the downtown Chicago office, and 2 days remote from home.

Qualifications

This position requires:

• Working towards a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related fields
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with others
• Experience in:
  • C# .NET
  • Visual Studio
  • HTML, JavaScript, JSON
  • Microsoft Azure (Portal, DevOps)
  • MVC
  • SOAP and Rest APIs
  • SQL Server

Knowledge of the following would be a plus:

• Active Directory
• PowerBI Reporting
• Power Automate
• Power Apps
• REACT
• ASP.NET Core Web APIs
• Azure functions and APIM
