Sargent Corporation is searching for a DOT Compliance Specialist
The DOT Compliance Specialist is responsible to work with employees to ensure they are in compliance with all local and federal state laws and regulations along with company policies. Coordinates the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance documents. Responsible for driver training and skill assessment to include on-boarding training and orientation, remedial training, and maintaining compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations. The position assists in ensuring we maintain our reputable safety scores. The position will also be responsible for maintaining compliant files and records and efficient use of Hours of Service.

In these roles, you will be traveling throughout the region to work on jobs related to infrastructure including landfill, highway, site prep, and public works projects.
Although these positions may require travel, the Company pays for travel expenses including lodging, mileage, and per diem for meals – plus you will be home every weekend!

Schedule:
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- 5 plus years of experience in transportation compliance
- Expertise and knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency and working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid CDL Class-A driver's license with clean driving record is required.
Experience/Experience:
- Construction Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
