Under the supervision of Manager, Preanalytical Laboratory Services and Phlebotomy Supervisors, performs all duties of Phlebotomist responsibilities including routine blood collection on all age groups to include neonates and infants. In addition, demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to function in Specimen Processing and Receiving area of the Laboratory. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients’ in assigned area.Required Qualifications
- Require graduate of a vocational program in phlebotomy or three (3) months experience.Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer demonstrated knowledge of all relevant computer skills as needed for patient ID system and specimen processing functions.
- Prefer demonstrated ability to interact successfully with patients, staff and other healthcare providers and excellent communication skills.
- Prefer the ability to work with minimal supervision.Mandatory Education
